The dancing lady orchid is an Oncidium, a group native to tropical Central and South America. Each small flower has a large, frilly lip like a dancing skirt, and the branching sprays can carry dozens of blooms that sway with the slightest movement. It is a graceful, premium orchid for bright verandas, and sits well beside our brown and white Oncidium Dancing Lady.
Orchids reward the right setup: the right light, a fast-draining mix and a regular feed. Below you will find the origin, a plant profile, care steps for Indian conditions and the flowering time, so you know what to expect before you order.

Written for India's heat, monsoon and soil. These are general guidelines; adjust to your city, soil and season, and message us if you want advice for your location.
Give bright light with some gentle morning sun. Light-green leaves show good light; dark green leaves mean it needs more.
Water when the top of the mix feels nearly dry, and keep it lightly moist in the growing season. Ease off in cooler months. Wrinkled pseudobulbs mean it needs water.
Use a bark and coco chip mix in a small pot, and repot only every 1–2 years when the mix breaks down.
Feed weekly in the growing season with a balanced orchid fertiliser at quarter to half strength, and flush monthly with plain water.
Oncidiums grow well in intermediate temperatures, roughly 15–30°C, with good air movement and moderate humidity.
Support the long flower sprays with a stake while in bloom. When flowering ends, cut the dried spike and keep growing on for the next flush.
Oncidium hybrids flower once or twice a year, depending on the hybrid, often in the cooler half of the year. The branching sprays of small, frilly flowers last several weeks, and the plant needs a stake to carry them. Timing varies with the plant and the weather in your city.
