Exotic Organic Farm in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu sells rare exotic vine plants online at exoticfarm.in: the jade vine, the scarlet clock vine and Thunbergia mysorensis (Indian clock vine), each with a care guide for Indian conditions.
Thunbergia mysorensis is native to southern India, from the Nilgiri hills to Kanyakumari. The scarlet clock vine is native to the Himalayan foothills and North-East India, as well as Nepal and Bhutan. The jade vine comes from the rainforests of the Philippines.
The scarlet clock vine usually flowers from about January to April, and Thunbergia mysorensis mainly in winter to spring and on and off through much of the year on mature vines. The jade vine flowers in spring to early summer, roughly February to May, and only on mature vines.
All three are vigorous, woody climbers. They need a strong pergola, arbour or trellis, and flower best where the hanging chains can be seen from below.
The Jade Vine is Rs 5,000, and the Scarlet Clock Vine and Thunbergia mysorensis are Rs 4,500 each per live plant. The price is shown on each plant's page.
Young plants can start in large containers with a sturdy trellis, but all three are big climbers and do best in the ground or a very large pot with a strong support.
Live plants are packed carefully and shipped from our Coimbatore farm. Message us your pin code on WhatsApp and we will confirm packing and delivery time for your location.
